SPX 3m ... barely closed above that 50DMA ... saved
the day ... maybe Skynet will need to reach out to AWS
to spin up more instances next time when the in house buying
compute goes into power save mode unexpectedly ....
nice intra day trading and makes sense for a pullback on Friday
OPEX and of course Debt Ceiling crap going into the weekend - makes
sense to follow for day traders, and of course given the debt
ceiling crap would be some nervousness going into weekend, so folks
who have the ability to monitor intra day would good to take some
profits mid day.
otherwise none of the systems closing out, and in fact some of
these volatility systems (besides the SPY that went long yesterday)
are going long today such as QQQ, IWM, DIA
and none of the mean reversion systems closing out, even though
that CCI system has a very aggressive exit
but again BPT is composed of a lot of different traders here,
you have to define your style. If you have the ability to sit here
and monitor these reacting to these intra day levels might make
sense for you.
if you are working a day job (we have a lot of doctors, and
lawyers and other professional's) then intra day setups do not fit
you - if you are trading the systems, for example, none of them
closed out today, so trying to sell intra day and buy back might
not make sense for you if you can't monitor and if it's not a tax
free account, you end up creating more taxable events
all types here: day traders, swing trades, folks working jobs,
folks trading systems only, folks trading indexes, individual
setups, folks trading futures, that's why it's important to define
your plan that fits you and ignore information that doesn't fit
it.
