GUTS--Could be one to monitor next week for follow-thru. GLP-1
niche play. Up big today.
BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)
-- Fractyl Health, Inc. (NASDAQ:
GUTS) (the
"Company"), a metabolic therapeutics company focused on pioneering

Diabetes (T2D), today announced that it will present compelling
weight maintenance data from both its Revita and Rejuva platforms

I'm a HUGE fan of anything "metabolic therapy." It's
literally the root cause for the 3 other horsemen of mortality (out
of 4) that face Americans today (cancer, heart disease, and
Alzheimer's). The big risk to this company, as I see it, is
that the more personal responsibility focused message will come out
of the MAHA movement and people will start to be taught that they
can literally control whether or not the get cancer or not...and if
they do get cancer they can also mostly control it with personal
actions that aren't pharmaceutically based (lower blood sugar
enough and cancer can't survive...but lowering gluatamine levels in
people who already have cancer does take medications. Lowering both
is ideal for people already diagnosed)
Yep and this line of therapies (your doctor will likely not talk
to you about) is leading to a paradigm shift overall for those not
sold out to pharma already...which is unfortunately a very small
number of practitioners.
I hope your friends find some benefit! I've lost 2 family
members in 5 years, 1 in the last month, to cancer and my Mom died
from cancer 15 years ago. I fucking hate cancer, but I do think
that the metabolic therapy approach offers hope where science
really has not made much progress when you back out the effects on
the statistics from the population mostly quitting smoking. The
idea that science has made a lot of progress in increasing cancer
survivability overall isn't that supportable...but of course, "A
LOT" is subjective...they have made fractional progress. In the
meantime, as they're making fractional progress on survivability,
the incidence of cancer in the population is skyrocketing. So,
overall, I'd say we're mostly going backwards.
