In my college days I tried to sneak into my dorm room a twelve
pack of Schlitz and got caught by my RA and he made me poor it down
the drain all the while he kept telling me it would kill my brain
cells....lol... that stuff was horrible...but cheap!!!
I grew up in Wisconsin and quite familiar with all those brews.
My grandfather was the brew master at Heileman's brewery
which made Old Style, Special Export and Blatz amongst other
names). Let's just say Blatz helped with your digestion.

tell you more drinking stories than just about anyone from my
college days. Fun times.
You want to know a fact. Despite having a Masters in
Chemistry and a BrewMasters Degree my Grandfather was hired during
the great Depression for another reason. He was hired to
become the QB (in additon to brewmaser) of the LaCrosse Old Stylers
who played against the Green Bay Packers and Chicago
