INTC is at least making good decisions over the last year or
two. I knew years ago that AMD would roar to life and start kicking
Intel's ass, and they indeed did claw market share from
INTC
that said, INTC's CEO is an engineer, which is what is best for
these type of companies I think. The previous CEO was some
accountant type and INTC was stagnate and not innovative over the
years with very iterative updates to processors and losing
share to AMD. At least with an engineer at the helm they have a
chance
reminds me of how back in the early Steve Jobs AAPL days where
you had Xerox who's research department had developed the
amazing technology of the graphics interface, mouse and other
things that was so far ahead of everyone else (that Steve Jobs
took). Xerox was bloated and run by accountants and
businessmen who had no idea what they had and squandered that
opportunity. Xerox could have owned the PC market if the
upper management realized what their tech department had and
entered the PC business, instead of just letting AAPL have it and
laughing at the mouse etc

How true Matt. When management gets complacent and is afraid to grow, it goes nowhere.
