JUST IN: UBS has agreed to acquire Credit Suisse,
$CS, for more than $2 billion. At $2 billion this would still
only pay shareholders $0.54 per share. This is up from their first
offer of $0.27/share but is still a 73% DISCOUNT from Friday’s
close
"UBS Group AG agreed to buy Credit Suisse Group AG in a
historic, government-brokered deal aimed at containing a crisis of
confidence that threatened to spread across global financial
markets." Bloomberg
well looks like the weekend betting Dow Futures jumped 100
points on that for now
again guys, for the last year plus Steve and I have been citing
the fundamental backdrop of things beyond the technical and why
we've warned that things won't be just easily fixed and we go back
to the old norm of a bull market.
too much recency bias still, folks thinking we're going back to
those old days again easily, nope
