Matt and I were talking the other day about the first entries
and they're often because of a big spike up above the 9 day EMA, I
haven't quantified what percent of them are like that, but just
from looking at the charts it often seems like you can get slightly
better pricing by watching for a reversion back to or under the 9.
I have seen some though where you miss out on a big move at
the beginning of a breakout, so as in most things there's no
perfect strategy.
I'm much more inclined to buy on the backtest; just have trouble
buying so late. That's one reason I asked if this system can be
applied to a shorter term time frame, say hourly or two hour?
I did not get a response to my post before but this reminds me to
ask again.
Makes it difficult for sure but as you continue to back test,
there is likely a best bet when it comes to the STS - and what
other metrics to apply or evaluate when the STS is born. For
now, when there is a large monthly 5 wave pattern (can't chart it
with system technicals) plus an STS ... oh baby that sounds juicy -
know what i mean ?

we can but I would only do a few instruments such as a SPX/SPY, QQQ maybe - certainly not all 500 SPX stocks and all Nasdaq 100 stocks, all ETF's etc
