ES bear long may take a 2nd entry today

At the moment the bear long is meeting conditions for a higher low 2nd entry. Honestly I don't know why it didn't enter 2nd and 3rd entries on the two short-term pullbacks in late July and early Aug. It's been years since I've looked at the higher entries so I may need to revisit the logic on those to see if I keep it the same or make some adjustments.

again the high entry prices as I've covered is only possible on a few strategies such as the bear long, RSI Oversold, and the Bear Exhaustion - they only occur after a lot of profit is already locked in, and attempt to buy a shallow pullback in the uptrend to capture more gains. here's an image from the past showing some of those higher entries

if we didn't get in on the first entry for the Bear Long would you bite on the 2nd entry, or let it go?

Are these considered a separate trade or the same trade?  Just wondering about the stats on additional entries

I don't know what you are asking. It would be a second entry for the bear long system, which still has the open long entry from July 13th. It would just be an additional entry to that open sub system trade

that said with the move off the lows that higher low entry won't be occurring now

Matt, I can't recall a "scale in" feature for other systems when there is a winning trade in place. It seems like they typically only take additional entries after the 1st entry was early (unrealized losses). Or maybe I just haven't noticed this feature?

It's rare occurrence to take a second entry above the initial entry on a long trade. Never seen it on a short system trade though.  Since I didn't hold the initial entry I wouldn't  take the trade now (it's currently off anyway), but like you posted great info to adjust ones plan if needed.

    Matt it would be great

Matt it would be great to see the SPX sell down to the lower trend line on your 10 minute SPX chart to get an even better 2nd entry assuming the bear long triggers
