Matt and Steve, you mentioned during one of the newsletters that we can follow along watching the VWOP, where is at interactive chart?  Are the Systems live?

    flredsox - we show VWAP

flredsox - we show VWAP on some of the intra day 3 and 5 min charts that we post during the day - we include the Stockchart.comURL for folks who have a Stockcharts.commembership. But otherwise, VWAP is pretty much on any charting system - you should have it on whatever charts you have. It's only useful on short term charts, 1, 3, 5, 15 min - and like anything else it's just a tool.

Often, when Matt or Steve post a 3 minute or 5 minute chart during the day, I will open it on my desktop and set it to refresh every 15 seconds. They include VWAP on those charts. On Matt’s it’s usually a cyan line. I think Steve’s might be a dotted line

Not at my computer or I’d post a link to one from yesterday

    Thanks

    It is VWAP - worth

Posted by Orangeman on 11th of May 2022 at 08:22 am

It is VWAP - worth a quick study to begin to understand.   https://www.investopedia.com/terms/v/vwap.asp

I often reflect on this bit:

Institutional buyers including mutual fundsuse VWAP to help move into or out of stocks with as small of a market impact as possible. Therefore, when they can, institutions will try to buy below the VWAP, or sell above it. This way their actions push the price back toward the average, instead of away from it.

Which means that when price is stretched from VWAP, the likelihood of a reversion to mean (in this case VWAP) is higher than not - can be useful for timing entry/exits intraday.  Intra-day,  bears repeating.

it is a common indicator that you can add to your charts on whatever platform you use.  Tradingview will only show it on intraday time frames.

    Thanks
