I've had this question about a dozen times recently, what are
the magenta colored DVT prices. Well those are meant as stops
if one was short, however I never finished it, it needs filters and
other settings added it it. For the 401K trend SPX that is
meant to be long only so I could just turn it off. See the
attached image, the right chart has them turned off, the left chart
has them on as you've been seeing. IDK, the right chart is
cleaner but also I don't mind having them displayed on there
because it's a nice visual guide that the system isn't looking at
longs when you have them displayed. You don't have to use them,
it's just a visual reminder that the system is not currently
looking at longs. so I can leave them on or off doesn't
really matter
They don't bother me; like you said it's a reminder that the
system is not long. And even though you haven't developed the
short system; if one were to go short it may provide a nice stop
level.
