Be careful, TSLA Bears have been "right" scores of time before.

I'm long-term bullish on TSLA. Traders took this stock over (thank  you very much) and that should eventually settle down a bit. Would like to have grabbed some overnight at $308! (down +40%..

    TSLA buy order in for

TSLA buy order in for $215 (GTC). That level would still be a valuation not many people can get their heads around (including me), but it looks like a good spot on the charts.  Got filled at AAPL 111 last week with the same strategy (I also think AAPL is currently overvalued).

    yes and and with NKLA

yes and and with NKLA and others, they are getting a bid lately because of TSLA, but even though they have nice backing to me it's about the logistics which takes years to build out

So let's say you buy a Nicola or Rivian - where the hell do you get it worked on?  If you live in LA or Silicon Valley, sure no problem, but what about for me in IL in farm country (not Chicago), do you think they would have anything around here? no way.  Logistics and support networks like that will take years and years to build out, that's why to me those new ones are not big competition at this point and wont' be for a long time. To me established car makers Ford, Volvo, Toyota etc if they eventually make decent EV's that people want at least they have dealers all over the place, easy to get worked on much easier than a TSLA and would be more of a threat to TSLA than say NKLA etc. But still I can get a TSLA worked on in my area, yeah it's not as close as the local dealership but they've built out enough logistics around the country where you can get do these things somewhat close to you.  NKLA, Rivian, that's gonna take a long long time.

but again stocks don't move on logic, they move on emotion, we've seen that. So the point is trade the charts if you see a reason to, the technicals, as we've seen in this market stocks can and will run up to crazy levels regardless of fundamentals etc

my discussion was not about stock price, but about actual competition and threat to TSLA

Projections regarding widespread adoption of plug in electric vehicles seem to ignore people that don't have garages or don't park in their garages because they are too small or they are too small because they also hold our sporting equipment (many of us in beach areas of Southern California). I couldn't own a TESLA if I wanted to - unless I wanted one so badly I was willing to move. Seems like a bit of a suburban dream to me (and even a more virulent pandemic couldn't scare me into the burbs    )

I agree Matt. Looks like trade rotation out of TSLA and into "competitors" but the fundamentals are so completely different in the real world. While TSLA may have been way out of whack on price, it could start looking more attractive at these levels, if you are more long-term..
