Webinar Video

Here's a link to the video. Note you can skip the 1st 7 min as I'm waiting for folks to come in.  Again there's some problems we ran into i.e. grey screen when trying to show some webpages etc, quite annoying and something we won't experience next time.  Basically it's rough, but they will get better in the future

    Matt--Thank you from the bottom

Posted by 24kau on 24th of Jul 2020 at 09:05 am

Matt--Thank you from the bottom of my financial heart for this DVT system.  I have lost tens of thousands of dollars in opportunity cost since the 2009 crash because I didn't know when to get back in the market and haven't been in it to the extent I should have been since then.  This system will give me that confidence, and I can't thank you enough for that financial stress relief!

    I so agree with you!

I so agree with you! This is most important to me as I can't monitor the market consistently with my work obligations. I would love a "wake up call" possibly via emailon when the daily chart stop is hit so as to exit the 401k. And vice versa when the entry happens again. This would be a dream and take a lot of weight off. I know the signals don't happen very frequently so maybe that would be a possibility.

    Agreed with Cozz. I’m busy

Agreed with Cozz. I’m busy with work and kids at home. Lol. A clean system like the 401k with alerts would be great!!!  The system and results beat most everything else!!!

401K system with alerts would be fantastic . entry/exit

    yes but realize we already

Posted by matt on 24th of Jul 2020 at 09:52 am

yes but realize we already alert the DVT's in real time, have been for a while.  I'm sure you've noticed every newsletter email at the bottom lists the real time DVT, and also those are listed right on that page

    https://breakpointtrades.com/current_dvts/

again what I talked about is I'll try to start pointing out areas when the market is say trending and then gets a pullback where the BPT MA pulls into the moving average ribbons, those can give low risk trades when one of those cycle indicators on the lower time frames 1/2 day and 120 min gives an alert at the same time.  Again on most of those the DVT's will NOT be hit - but I can try to point out, hey guys this could be a low risk area for a long trade, or a short trade etc with a tight stop.

    Matt I just got around

Matt I just got around to watching your webinar.   The system you demonstrated is very impressive and looks to be very powerful.   Like others, I would like confirmation that the DVTS page or the nightly newsletter will communicate to us when to go long again after a stop has been hit.   I am generally unable to watch the market or the BPT forum during the working day, so having these other notifications is important to me.   Thanks - Matt.

    Please advise where can I

    Webinar

    Matt,

Thanks for the DVT webinar. We appreciate the work that you put into that. I have a few comments and a question with regard to managing a 401K by the use of DVTs.

    Just saying.
Mutual fund orders execute on the daily close. Many 401Ks do not allow stops to be placed - especially for mutual funds. If a DVT is triggered near the close and you cannot get an order placed to sell in time, any subsequent mutual fund sell order will execute at the close of the following day. That's okay, because the intention is not to trade these things in a 401K.

Another difference between the old Monthly system and the DVT version, is that daily sideways market action will cause whipsaws. They may be few, but they are inevitable. The Fidelity Police, for example, do not take kindly to round trips of less than 30 days - they can freeze your mutual fund trades after a warning. A few of these quick trades within a month and many of us will give up. You have previously mentioned the possibility of an additional weekly DVT system. It could also trigger multiple trades, but there would be far fewer of them.

    Re-entry Question
I may have missed this during all of the discussions.

Will you provide a subsequent re-entry signal after each DVT stop is triggered?

I see one on the DVT web page on 6/30/20. How will we be notified?

    I think you'll be notified

Posted by 24kau on 24th of Jul 2020 at 12:32 pm

I think you'll be notified on that DVT page on the website and likely in a daily newsletter as the DVT system is mentioned early in each newsletter each evening (assuming you're not able to be on the blog during the day; I think Matt said he'd call these out during the day if the entry/exit points are hit).

    Yup, I've been following the

Yup, I've been following the DVT stops, but what this new system provides is a signal when it's a good ENTRY point, which is the piece I never was confident in myself.
