Looks like the QE BTS sub system will be taking a 3rd entry today. I'll send out the email near the close

on a side note the SPY sub system hi, mid low is taking  a 1st entry.  NOW I'm not emailing that as a trade because it's already covered  up on the SPY chart that has all the shorts on it since the QE BTS is already in a trade. Here's an image of all the sub system shorts.  I am mentioning it because the stats are very high i.e  a profit factor of 300, 96.7% winning trades, and a 3.6% max historical draw down. So maybe the market is getting closer to a pullback. That sub system only takes a quick trade - it would close out easily on a 1 or 2 day market pullback.

Also regarding the open QE BTS  -  I've been asked what does that need to close out, it simple needs a close below a fast moving average, I think it's a 4 or 5 SMA, so I know some of you are thinking the market goes back to the highs eventually, maybe it does or maybe it doesn't, however I'm sure there will be a pullback below the 4 or 5 MA along the way before that occurs as that's a very fast MA.

on a side note the Trend/Pullback original sub system still remains in a long trade with no signs yet of closing out

    Matt .....amazing work as usual...

    yes nice drop though futures

yes nice drop though futures off the lows.  Keep in mind I could even see something like this playing out soon a bounce lower high then drop. It's one of my buddies charts. we'll see.  I don't have his indicators so I can't go into them more detail though he's been pretty spot on. Again who knows, don't trade off that just showing as one scenario.

    Maybe a push to 2790

Thanks for the update Matt.  I went long SDS on the the SPY QE BTS system 2nd entry on April 8th.  You say above that the QE BTS system will exit on a close below a fast MA.     As the fast MA is now above the entry price for both the first and second entry, can you please clarify the exit criteria for those first and second entries?  Apologies if a dumb question - still learning....

Posted by matt on 14th of Apr 2020 at 04:14 pm

it's 276 which is a delta of 0.4, which is what I was targeting.  Below 0.5.  again I still think the market could push to 2900 perhaps

guys I'll update the spreadsheet tonight, I have to run an errand

    Just to clarify, this PUT

Just to clarify, this PUT you're buying is out of the money?

    by the way the average

Posted by matt on 14th of Apr 2020 at 03:53 pm

by the way the average hold time on that hi,mid, low short is 3 days 3 hr LOL, like I said, I'm not worried about that getting caught holding forever, even if the market were to work slowly back to the highs, somewhere along the way the SPY would close below the 4 SMA, that's a very fast MA

    Can you explain the meaning

Posted by watcdy on 14th of Apr 2020 at 03:52 pm

Can you explain the meaning of the red  lines below the charts. What are they telling you what are they measuring please ?

    those are my trade indicators

Posted by matt on 14th of Apr 2020 at 03:55 pm

those are my trade indicators that tell me if a sub system is taking an entry - if you look at those you can see they each have individual names for each sub system. Every sub system has its own trade indicator. The systems are daily only - trades only show up on the close of the bar. Whereas the indicators are intra bar, that's who I know if a trade can occur or not, if I had to wait for the actual system I would have to wait for the bar to close
