I believe that Matt had said trend long was only ever 3 entries.  What I’m wondering is whether or not another subsystem like bear long or bear exhaust is looking to trigger.

    I answered that below Bear

I answered that below Bear long not likely to trigger unless another down day

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

    like I said I do

like I said I do think one could go long with a stop at the lows on the ETF's or buy some call options with a conditional stop if we take out the lows

    Maybe May 1st 295 -

Maybe May 1st 295 - 287 strike range or May 15th 301 - 295 strikes - somewhere in those ranges.  Very short term best to wait for a little pullback

anyway below I mentioned buying some cheap SPY calls, someone asked me the ranges, I said I was looking at delta ranges of 0.2 - 0.3.  Those are up if you bought them earlier.

very short term we moved too much, need consolidation

    basically QE announced looks like

    Matt - Thoughts on any

Matt - Thoughts on any new entries coming or should we just plan on not taking any more?  Seems hard to believe every mean reversion system you have isn't triggering every entry possible right now.  What are you doing in your hedge fund?

    as I said, only possible

Posted by matt on 16th of Mar 2020 at 05:28 pm

as I said, only possible entries would be Bear long or maybe a bear exhaustion.  They are hard to trigger as you can see even haven't triggered in this nightmare. I think if we sold off another 1 - 2 days like this the bear long could taken an entry in a couple days I would have to think that would be a decent entry.

otherwise at the moment I'm putting more work into this DVT stuff.  I may offer that as an indicator for Trade station or even somehow automate it for a type of system.

I'll let you know if any of those bear longs or bear exhaustion take entries

    Matt, I have also come

Matt, I have also come to the conclusion that the DVT might be my main focus after this crash.  The SPY system has it's place but the one thing I haven't figured out is where to pull the plug on it and have a max loss amount.  I am still in the SPY trades but wish I had stood aside.   What I love about the DVT is always having a stop and avoiding this whole mess.  Thanks for all your hard work.
