this is my fav way to trade ES or MES. for a long move up
on a larger time frame, then pullback and get an MA ribbon pinch,
then look at smaller time frames for a trigger, on this example you
see the 15 min MA ribbons pinch, then you have a cycle buy (cyan
colored dots) on the 10 and 5 min charts, and so you can go long
with a stop just below the candle. I want a price trigger, which
you have via over the doji cande on the 10 min.
also for price action, on the pullbacks on the pinches, and this
is very important, I need to see an ABC zig zag, which means it's a
corrective move and then ready to resume up. If I don't see an ABC,
I only see one wave down, then I don't buy.
I saved this chart a few days ago, obviously in this market I'm
not trading futures on 15 and 10 min charts, moves are just too
fast, these days I use 5, 3, 2, 1, 30 sec charts for the same
indicators.
I'd like to do a webinar on that method sometime maybe over zoom
- so I can go over these things with examples.
here's a real time example off a 1 min and a 30 sec chart of ES.
This market trading short time frames LOL, but anyway I get
my MA pinch on the 1 min, then look for the abc pullback, a trigger
candle where I can buy over and place a stop below for a very tight
stop, and a cycle buy. In normal markets I would not trade
such short time frame charts but in this market since the moves are
so big with ES moving 10 and 20 points in minutes I shift down to
real short time frames
ideally I'm trying to get them on Tradestation platform, then
you can simply just download them right from your TS account vs me
sending ELD's and files over emails. waiting on that
I've used my 1min chart more the past week than I have in years
on my futures. Typically use 15 and 30 with 5min for entry. But not
these days on ES when a 5 min bar can be 10-15 points, LOL
With my wave count, I see a push up into the close at least off
the lows from this morning. Then tomorrow another push down to
finish wave III (C). Thing I am looking for is a drop in the
ATR on the SP500. Even with yesterdays ramp it didnt
capitulate.
