With the market continuing to make new highs, here's a look at
the important correlation charts we check from time to time looking
for divergences where the other instrument doesn't confirm the
SPX. Quite a bit of divergences here
shecar- just look over the history of those for a moment,
and those charts are something we have posted for yrstd.
First off the divergences can last weeks before finally
playing out. When you look over the history they generally produce
some sort of pullback, sometimes a big one and sometimes fairly
small but generally something, so you can't really can't make a
conclusion on the level of correction, you use other charts to help
figure that out. Basically the imbalances need to be removed by
either a pullback or a very strong rally that erases them
Thanks, Matt. Just like to hear your time frame
perspective given so much on here is around short-term trades but
you guys do a great job of also addressing the bigger trends.

Matt - Are you looking at these divergences from a “bigger picture” point of view or from a short-term correction perspective?
