yeah I mean, Insurance is at the moment saying they won't cover
it saying it's seepage, which is bullshit, if a pipe burst
downstairs their would cover, I will try to fight that, but in the
mean time, have a big crew here, gonna be a big mess for a long
time, I think everything has to come out from the basement, and
that's why I do my computer work, newsletters etc, anyway beyond
frustrating. Steve will be doing newsletter tonight, but even when
I do them this week they are probably gonna be short and to the
point guys, I"m sure you will understand

Had something similar to this a few years ago here in Las Vegas.
Totally BS'd the insurance wouldn't cover it. Only a
flood policy would have covered it because it came from outside the
walls. I really sucks. Best thing you can do is put a
big plastic cover or build a cover over that egress window well to
prevent a recurrence.

Matt,
Just thinking maybe your rain gutters are plugged and the water
is just flowing over the top of them and down beside the house
instead of into the rain spouts and away from the house.
nah - no trees over, house next door was built maybe a year ago,
they built it up higher, so hill slopes right to our house, all the
water runs down. I have a landscaper gonna do a French Drain
tomorrow or Wed to address the drainage issue. Also we had like 7
inches of rain last night. The thing is, with climate these
days seems like most rains are torrential downpours vs slow and
steady rain.
well i just came say this man that sucks! i guess you dont have
flood insurance most don't...i just ahd a sump system installed at
my sons house in PA. did it before i turned basement into living
area...got a good lawyer have him write a letter sometimes makes a
difference.
yeah I mean, Insurance is
major catastrophe today,

so very sorry Matt. Some have a sump pump and a hydraulic backup pump hooked up to the drinking water supply.
