look at the SPY system page I keep that up to date and you
haven't seen any emails from me saying that it was exiting.
Also for those of you how can't psychologically handle the
statistical reversion to mean stuff, I suggest instead following
the trending BPT MA Deluxe signals I'll be giving when that goes
back long as it has fairly tight trailing stops.
A system not being profitable on a certain trade or trades is
not a failure in my mind. If anyone knows of a100%
system that generates more than 1 or 2 signals per year, please let
us know. The idea is to take each trade the system generates
in order to take the emotion out of the trading process. If it's
been backtested properly and the structure / mechanics of the
particular market you are trading do not experience an unusual
shift, the system should generate positive returns over the medium
to longer term. Trying to cherry pick winning signals from losing
signals from inside a single system, kind of defeats the purpose.
I'm also afraid that trying to explain each time the system does
not produce a profitable signal will make Matt gun shy about
providing more systems in the future because people mistakenly seem
to expect perfection.
no I covered that last week, another entry would be pretty far
away about 50 points lower on SPX. now it's possible another
sub system could go long such as the Bear long, but that has not
triggered yet

I was thinking of another sub system when I posted that - more
to the point, the current entries are included in the systems
section and so there is no need to ask here.
I do not listen to all of the updates, especially the
"routine" ones on the systems as I trust the systems section and
your alert emails to keep me up to date.
I can post charts every year of the trades and you guys can look
them over in the past to make your own decisions as you look over
them. Anyway maybe one positive thing is that when emotions start
to get high sometimes you are nearing some sort of trade low.
I will say that it's been sort of a perfect storm for the
market: The sell in May effect, the market was tired
technically and just looking for a pullback, escalation of trade
war, then a second trade war front with Mexico, than over the
weekend calls that we could see a recession in a few months,
negative yield curve, and today possible anti trust stuff with
Google and AAPL - so a lot of stuff hitting the market at
once.
look at the SPY system
Are we still in the SPY System trades?

I agree - also the answer to the question is in the system page - I was wondering whether the system will take an extra long on the close here.

remember my comments yesterday when some of you were uncomfortable with the SPY system and the market, below are my comments in quotes.
