$SPX - Chart Link - MA ribbon pinched
earlier, we'll see if it can result in another move higher or not.
choppy day so far, I'm doing some system work, not really
trading

It’s interesting how the cash and futures moving average ribbons
can be opposite of one another on certain time frames - like 15 min
SPX vs /ES right now - I suppose cash rules because lower volume
overnight futures action impacts longer moving average time frames
disproportionately…
yep, but also that extra 16 1/2 hrs that ES trades really makes
the difference. Cash only trades 6.5 hrs, futures trade 23 hrs.
futures will match if you use ES.D. But yes currently on
the ES continuous contract you have the MA's pinching from a
bearish config on the 15 min but there has to be trigger which
there isn't one
Would love to see it chop lower into late afternoon followed by
a big pop to close at 2630. That would be a spectacular
setup... alas we'll probably just chop in the rectangular box that
Steve drew and have to keep guessing over the weekend.
