It did not. also I noticed that one of the sub systems went
short, the STrap system
so the Trend system is long, while today the STrap system went
short. A couple ways to trade this: buy a different ETF
like SH or SDS, the inverse ETF's which did not interfere with your
SPY long. Or two sell your SPY shares and have a net position size
of zero (since one sub system is long and one is short) cancels
each other out. Then once one of these systems closes out you will
have either a long or a short position again
what are you talking about? If the system triggered a sell
signal, why did the system not sell during market hours and inform
us. Even after close, the system still could have sold the SPY and
gone cash and informed us. Then we can use the signal from
the second system to sell short SPY. Why it has to be
complicated? Basically this tells me the system did not
sell although it triggered a sell signal when it should have and
the same time should have informed the clients.
nayan32 - clearly you do not understand the system. best
for you to write into support or send me a pm. There are 23
sub systems, each do their own thing! A lot of members here
like to know what they are doing so I report them! However
the way I officially report it on the website is with all the sub
systems on one chart, which means only one trade can occur at any
time. The combo chart is still long, nothing has changed.
However if we look at the sub systems individually one of
them went short. That sub system does not affect the main
system with all the systems on the one chart becuase it's already
in a trade. (final image)
I agree that it gets complicated when talking about the main
system and what the sub systems are doing, however every time I've
told members that I am going to stop commenting on what the sub
systems are doing and just report the main combo chart, a ton of
people chime in begging me not to.
this is not rocket science. do no trade the system unless
you understand and understand how you are going to follow it.
Plenty of great stuff here, the system is like 1% of the
content of the website.
Again I agree for newer folks it's complicated at first, I
wish it wasn't the case. But BPT is also not meant to be a
dumbed down marketing website. The content here is fairly
sophisticated. Hopefully over time we can do more to make it
clearer. What I struggle with is putting all my time into
development, trades, content and not much left for the website
FAQ's etc and making things a lot clearer.
attached images show the main SPY system, which nothing has
changed is still long. That's why it shows long in the SPY system
section. Go to the SPY system section, do you it listed as short??
No. it says long, that's because I only report what the combo
system is doing, where all the sub systems are on one chart.
the 2nd image shows the individual short sub systems. You
see there is a short via the Strap - that does not show up on the
combo chart because the main system is already long
also as far as sending emails after the market -I've covered
this as well, SPY trades until 8 pm EST with 1 - 3 cent penny
spreads, it's the most liquid EFF on earth, easy to do things after
hrs. The trades many times are so close I have to wait until
after the close to confirm, which means sending out emails after
the close. If it doesn't fit your style or is too complicated
then I suggest not trading it, there's plenty of other content
here.
