FYI the SPY system has an exit signal now. It actually had
one most of yesterday but was lost the last 30 min of the day.
However it's back on today and gonna hold. Since this
is the QE trade it will exit on the next day's open, which is
Monday. However I'm giving this information to you now in
case you wanted to make a decision to exit today instead of Monday
or split the difference i.e.. exit 1/2 today and the other 1/2 on
Monday's open.
Another option is to set a stop at approximately 50% of
Wednesday's candle if you thought that a tradeable low is in place,
which is possible.
I've given you multiple options, now you can make an informed
decision.
By the way for the SPY system as you know you can either
have all 23 sub systems on one chart, which means that at any one
time only one system can be active. The other way to trade it
is to trade all the individual sub systems separately, which can be
overwhelming a times if 3 - 4 sub systems get into multiple
entries.
For the new version of the system system I'm sort of mixing
these together to form a hybrid or system that is in-between.
I've taken some of the sub systems that overlap a lot and
placed them on one chart, many of the shallow pullback systems like
Trap, QE, Strong Trend Shallow Pullback, Trend etc. I've also
added much harsher conditions to some of those systems like the
Trap and Trend so that they do less trades but are harder to
trigger. I've then placed all the short systems on their own
chart, and have the strongest systems as their own chart like the
Bear Exhaustion, Bull Exhaustion, Bear Long, RSI oversold. So
right now instead of one system chart there will be be 7 systems,
or SPY charts. Again some charts have many sub systems on
them like the shorts and some of the longs. While others are
just one sub system. So I'll send signals for these 7 charts
instead of just the one big SPY system chart before that had all 23
sub systems. This gives us access to the other sub systems
get tend to get covered up that are produce great trades (in early
Mar the Trend system on SPY gave a nice trade but it was not on the
main chart). But also now that we only have 7 charts that can
trades, it's easier than giving trades for all 23 systems.
Once I complete this I'll have James upload them to a
database so we can see the difference in stats from the old system
where all the systems were on one chart, vs trading these
collective 7 systems. With the 7 charts you will have some
overlap but NOT as much as you would have with all 23, and there
will be more trades, so I think it will be the best of both
worlds
