Well this particular sto set up was a nice example of
no-trigger, no trade :-)
FWIW So far my experience is that the signal is usually best
when you get a sharp cross in the fast sto, and that you start
getting suspicious when it just flattens out while the slow sto
peaks its head up above the 20 line (or down below the 80 line if
its reversed)

IMHO there is not a 1 to 1 translate from long signal in a uptrend for the fallowing reasons
1-the market still has an upward bias via CB intervention
2-even if your trigger did trigger you still have to manage the trade
3-you can't look at it in a vacuum
4- i'm not sure of Q's but on 5 min SPX the overbought short on
SPX was preceded by a higher low which is a powerful signal especially
at a pivot of S2 via the chart below
