Solar Stocks - Weinstein Base?

Posted by matt on 14th of Feb 2011 at 12:46 pm

Many stocks in the Solar sector appear to have Weinstein Type of bases.  You of remember the Uranium stocks back in the fall, and recent stocks like EMKR etc.

However here's a few solar stocks that catch my eye on the weekly, I also show the daily chart as well

Anyone else think Stan looks like A.C. Slayter from Saved by the Bell????

    Well, IDK but these day's

Well, IDK but these day's Stan probably doesn't have as much hair as he had on that old book 'Secrets to profiting in bull and bear markets' LOL

    Picture

Stan now writes a newsletter for Hedge Funds, I used to get it forwarded to me, I can't remember the price, it's either like $10K a month or something like that.  Honestly the format of it sucked, I didn't use it or look at it much.

Stan always used the 30week average as shown in your diagram, but you do not have it on your charts.

"For a long-term investor, the ideal time to buy a stock is when it breaks out above resistance and also moves above its 30-week MA, which must no longer be declining" Stan Weinstein.

These daily charts have the 150MA...

    yeah I think that 30

Posted by matt on 14th of Feb 2011 at 01:23 pm

yeah I think that 30 week MA is not set in stone and don't worry about it.  My charts have the 13/34 weekly EMA's, that's close enough anyway

    Looks like WSW came out
