We have launched the new blog feature today! However
here's a few things to note:
First off it's still in the testing phases so there can and will
probably be a few problems.
- Also currently it
DOESN'T work in Internet
Explorer! It works in other brokers such as
Firefox, Chrome, and
Safari. Therefore if you can please use one of
these other browsers. Also you should be using these browsers
anyway because they are superior to IE in terms of stability and
security. Basically Microsoft sucks lol. We are trying
to work on a fix with IE, however the problem is with IE and the
limitations with that browser.
- Also, realize that the refresh will only work for on thread
Topic, (Recent) View All. As you my know, the blog by default
shows 'View All' which shows you the threaded view of the posts.
However (Recent) next to view all shows you all the most
recent posts (not threads), this is what is automatically
refreshed. Please see the attachment picture.
- Also note when the blog refreshes, it doesn't refresh the
whole page like when you manually refresh a browser and you see it
blink for a second. What will happen is that you will simply
see a new post magically appear at the top.
If you don't have Chrome or Firefox, please download one of them
and install it. Again you will be happy if you are an Internet
Explorer user because these are better browsers anyway

I have tested and verified that the Auto Refresh feature is
working in all versions of IE now, including IE 6, although I would
still suggest you switch to a more modern browser like chrome if
it's a possibility.
You shouldn't need to refresh the page anymore even if you
have been seeing issues with posts being missed in the last few
days. I have resolved that problem as well. Please contact me via
PM if you are having individual difficulties, or are aware of any
bugs.
A real hot topic for me is taking full advantage of the work
that Matt & Steve put into the Newsletter charts. I recommend
the following as an example. Can BPT, at leaset, create a set of
standard base charts for the newsletters. These would be the major
indexes with the usual time frames that are most often included in
the Newsletters.
Matt and Steve would maintain and use this the charts from
base set as they prepare the Newsletters and a set of
permanent links to the set could be maintained on the web site.
I feel this would do two things, make the analysis charts live
and available all day and replace the rather modest usefulness of
the current dynamic chart list.
Would everyone please chime in on this subject. I am very
frustrated when Matt or Steve say in the letter "watch this
resistence level" or "if the market does this, then this count is
invalid" or some such and I don't have an effective way to monitor
their wonderfully marked up charts throughout the day to see how it
is unfolding. I take notes but as they say, a picture is worth a
thousand words.
please send James a PM about it, the Sticky post, he can work
with you after hrs, he's the tech guy. The same for everyone
else too.
Also, it's possible that your browser memory could be getting
low and also try completely exiting the blog and then go back into
it, that might refresh it.
This is an advanced browser option that is fairly recent, so I
imagine it won't be flawless.
I haven't had any issues myself today, it's been working great,
but then again I post a lot and move in and out of the blog once in
a while, so that my help to reset it.
you have to be in (Recent) view all only, not View All. It
only works for Recent, which means that it shows all the posts in a
chronological fashion, not as threads. Also it a new post
will only appear after someone has make a post and the page will
not blink like it would if you did a manual refresh. I'm sure
that it's working, just leave it on Recent View All and watch it
for a bit.
Yes I took that banner down because I thought it was obvious.
We've seen plenty of trend days like this, they all act the
same, the market holds up all day generally into the close and the
60 period stochastics on a 5 min SPX chart stays above 80% all day
so don't fight it and try to short intra day, however we know that
when that happens it always falls below 80% the next day
