Bought some /NQ futures on that dip at the open, now we need another big up day!

I sold some JAN 109 Puts on IYR  today. Happy to own at that price, but it looks to be moving up IMHO. New 52 week high set this morning.

Yeah I'm buying UPST among others, it was $400 mid October, now $170ish. I'm accumulating shares in several of these, time will tell if ends up being a dumb move. This has been a great time to trade futures though, so helps offset some of the risk.

PATH- I've been catching this falling knife for a few weeks now, I like the company and don't mind accumulating. I like manipulating the CCI time frames and looking at divergences, etc. Admittedly the chart still looks pretty bad and I would normally wait a few days before adding more,  however earnings are in 2 days, it will likely pop one way or the other.  So I have added to my position yet again, LOL. Not sure why I'm sharing an iffy chart, I just like documenting my follies I guess. Good trading all.

No worries, the info is still useful. I sold some SPY puts(expiring today) this morning, taking advantage of the high premium. If the market moves down substantially I'll be in at a lower price, if not I get the premium. I should probably have taken an SSO position, but maybe next time

I prefer options, but will do futures when premiums are high. Best day I've had in 2 years was today. Keep up the good work, the more info the better!

I trade options often, though I don't trade LEAPs. If you are considering trading options based on Matt's systems, or some other system that is fairly short term in duration, I would recommend shorter term contracts. As short as 2 weeks to maybe 3 months out. My favorite type trades are Calendar spreads and Diagonal Spreads. Before doing any of that be sure you take the time to understand the effects of volatility on options. As an example if you buy calls after a quick drop in price of the market, you could be paying a large premium to intrinsic value simply for the price of volatility. IMHO, that is the best time to sell options, not buy. When volatility begins to drop, the price of the option will decrease, all else being equal. Sorry if you knew all this already, I just get nervous when the fist sentence is "I  don't have much experience with options", LOL. Read lots of books, and make a few practice trades before using real cash. Just my two cents.

First time in a few weeks I feel moderately Bullish. I've spent the last few weeks mostly choppin around, win a few lose a few etc. I bought some SPY calls at the close yesterday, hoping to see the Bulls run a little for a few days.

Glad to hear that Matt, I agree with jtsurfah. I have basically stopped looking at the newsletter on Youtube days. Thanks for all your great work with the site in general though.

This has been a fantastic trade. I had been considering taking profits, but it's looking to test lows again today, so I need to wait and see now.

Matt, I agree 100%. My problem is each week I vary my opinion between the Big Crash, it's over quickly/ and the death by 1000 cuts, nothing happens for a year scenario. My fear is that I can tell I'm biased towards these 2 choices, I don't consider a continuation move upward without a correction as a likely scenario, which is dangerous to my profits.

Looks like we might test today's lows soon
