The 50d on the daily is headed up at about 4.22, but the 50d on the hourly is closer to 5.26. You may be right to split the difference @ 5, 4.50 may be too optimistic

Was hoping it would pull back to about 4.50 then add.

I've been pretty stuborn about this one. As long as the 20 ma keeps going up, I'll stay with it. If it falls below I may re-consider. Vol has been slacking off with the pullback. I'm just waiting to see without being premature either way. We'll see.

glad I stayed with it. 20 ma on hourly chart keeps going up. Albeit, vol is only ave so I don't know how much topside it has.

took some at the break because of vol. could be a false break but as long as the 20d ma is above my stop and moving up...I'll stay with it for now. We'll see.

have a small position now, was thinking of doubling up @ 4.50. If it bounces off the bottom of your 60 min wedge....what do you think?  Most of what I'm reading tells me the odds favor a short term break to the upside on the S&P.

I'd be interested in opinions on when to exercise stops. During the day, if they hit or at the close with maybe the price being above the stop.

Hated to do it. Sold my SDS. Hit my stop. The mkt, you would think, should go down for all the reasons others have stated but you can't argue with reality.

Despite all, it keeps going up. Don't asked me why. I'll play the trend.

ditch, you're a much better trader than I, but comparing us to China is apples to oranges.

China is a dictatorship, so the gov can do what it wants, when it wants w/o any input from its citizens. I don't think any of us want that here so we have a messier process.

To say gov is the problem is an over simplication. Our gov isn't going to go away or get out of the way. We must get the gov to be responsive to the people instead of the special interests.

They may be a big part of the problem, but they are also going to have to be a part of the solution. I don't see an alternative. But a demand economy, like China is not the way to go. Look what happened w/ the Russians when they thought gov was the answer to their problems.
