I bought a put on VZ rather than shorting shares (open long
position on VZ), definitely targeting the 50 day MA, not sure if
there are compelling further downside targets in the short term,
aside from a symmetry target of that larger pullback

PRT - oil and nat gas investment trust. Mind the small
market cap and small trading values. ~10% annual dividend, paid out
monthly, My plan it to buy low and hold, in one of my tax-free
accounts (HSA, Roth IRA)

There will infrequently be weeks at a time due to my work where
I am not in a position to be active daily, and for not sure
intraday/during market hours, with regards to trading, so the
format and frequency of the MSA newsletters works for me. I am
using them as a signal for when to start paying closer attention to
when the risk/reward should be better entering a space, and for a
longer duration or stronger move.

Matt or Steve, I have a question about price / volume bars
(shown in one of the weekend newsletter charts). Are "thin zones" a
risk as a future target, or price tends to blow right past those
going up/down?
Posted by foody518 on 22nd of Feb 2024 at 02:01 pm
Yes, VIX is the volatility index of the S&P 500, and the
state of the close the day after the day VIX first closes outside
of the Bollinger Band is the buy/sell signal on the S&P 500
index

Yeah. A coworker at the office mentioned seeing news of the
market at all times highs, and I asked, why didn't financial news
tell you to buy when things were low and you would be up 40% since
late 2022.
