I saw that too. I think the chart he shows in the newsletters
has a slightly different setting. He has mentioned that before. I
wouldn't mind if the one in the newsletter was the primary one
though. Seems to do a little better, at least lately.
Thanks, I've been trading the rev to mean systems for many years
and futures for a year or two. No issues, understand most of the
nuances. First time with a rollover contract and assumed with the
system taking a new trade (rsi 40) there would be some guidance
issued on the rollover.
Thanks Steve, is there a best time to do this? Will it affect
prices if everyone holding that contract sells and rebuys the
December futures contract? I assume the 20th of Sept is that
expiration date.
This may be a dumb question but what happens to our rev to mean
MES position for September when futures for this quarter expire
(assuming it has not sold by that time)?
Do we need to roll this over to the Dec contract? If so, does
this entail selling and rebuying? TIA for answers
Nothing could be worse or more tragic than losing a child.
So sorry for this family. And really tough for your daughter
to have to go through losing a teammate like that. Prayers for you
all!
Yeah, that's insane that the cell providers want that kind of
money on the SMS messages.
My daughter was in Africa for Peace Corps and we found that the
telcos would charge $5/min to talk and some crazy messaging fee. So
we basically lived on WhatsApp for a couple years to communicate
which cost nothing...
Totally agree on WhatsApp. The nice thing is it has familiarity
around the world and NO fees.
After the WhatsApp choice for messages, I'd vote for good old
email as you can set notifications on your phone to alert when an
email is received or just check it hourly. Almost everyone has a
phone in thier pocket and can check email a few times a
day.
This strategy would be amazing and the whole package in one,
imho.
It would be awesome if this strategy could be designed as a
system and signals/stats generated but if not, I suppose we could
follow the VIX/BB trades on our own when posted to the
blog.
I really don't think anyone here has been disrespectful, if
anything, I think especially in the beginning, members were afraid
to voice their true criticisms because they didn't want to be asked
to leave.
I think members should be able to make criticisms of the system
both good and bad. Sometimes it helps to have other opinions
too.
The membership fee to the system is steep compared to the
performance and there had been mention of some "free time". Since
then, no one has addressed that.
I'm not sure what happened to my earlier post (possibly
removed?) but I was simply stating a fact regarding costs
associated with membership and how that impacts statistics as
well.
I had stated in so many words that based upon a $10,000 trading
account, 2.3% would be a gain of $230 but with memberships costs
included ($600 for 6 months), this would actually not be a gain at
all. I think it's fair to look at this in a critical way especially
with the recent performance over 6 months of the system.
I can also state that most people that have a membership at
Breakpoint Trades are not buy and holders but traders. So the fact
that the index lost money in that period probably doesn't apply to
most here to use for comparison.
