IMO...would ladder duration directly via high-quality muni
and/or treasury bonds if considering parking $ in bonds.
Small yield enhancement via tax benefits v TLT.

Lots of media chatter about Santa rally. Makes me wonder if
Santa’s following Kiss systems this yr, will see... From Traders
Almanac: Years when there was no Santa Claus Rally tended to
precede bear markets or times when stocks hit significantly lower
prices later in the year.

How do you interpret TLT (20yr bonds) monthly completing 5 waves
down with positive divergence against this yield (10yr bonds)
chart? Appears TLT has upside corrective move over time, but
downside more immediate.

No comment in newsletter but do you guys give significance to
the new Buy Cycle dots on Daily and 1/2d charts (Chart 7)?
Seems like this would support a bottom at these levels..?

Bought some XLE EOD, at least for bounce. Seems low risk here;
Div date approaching. Front running the Renko buy signal. Figure
it’s already had a pullback and could be uncorrelated.

Agreed, Matt leaves that system out for good reason. Anyone who
followed that system lost big time during covid drop (as I
did); that particular system is prone to early entry on big
pullbacks. The revised Trend system also prone but to lesser
degree.

I understand the reasoning but unfortunate that all KISS
systems are now an add-on cost. I must have also not been
attentive with this. I assumed high level Daily and Weekly KISS
would be part of the base BPT cost since it’s a variation of
the paint dry system. Maybe I just got use to this feature.
Will see how it goes.

Agreed, bullish on Ag. Sold positions earlier this yr, used
profits to buy quality Midwest farmland renting back to farmer.
Farmland has been on tear last few yrs (~20% last yr alone) w/ no
slowdown from higher rates…mostly cash buyers. Main concern I
have is a global type debt / credit event, but 2008 had no impact
on Ag…actually went up then. Low correlation to stocks, but high
entry prices.

some of you looking to dilute BPT? Reality is signals adopted by many end up working less. Ive already noticed this in past on some trade triggers.
