Stockcharts - Ratio Set Up

Posted by kingpin777 on 13th of Aug 2009 at 10:20 pm

How do you set up the ratio above the price charts. I noticed Matt's NG:GDX ratio above the NG chart and I would like to set the chart up.

Thanks!

What Happened?

The futures were up 1.3% when I checked this morning.

Market has opened weak.

Anyone else have trouble shorting FAZ with Interactive Brokers?

Its foolish but its human nature. I wrestled with it initially too. People (me included) see the numbers and yet they still want to mess around. I've cured myself of that Laughing .

Sorry - haven't been able

Bounced off the resistance line

Unfortunately that is the problem.

Ninja/IB

Unfortunately that is the problem. I spoke with NT tech support and they encountered the same problem I did. He didn't know how to fix it.

Ninja/IB

Hey guys, looking for some help here. I recently transferred to IB and am trying to set up Ninja for the systems. Great day, congrats to all who played it.

I am trying to set up the script and would like to backtest to make sure everything is running well but I am running into data problems. I can't seem to import historical data. I have subscribed to the US data feed.

Can anyone help me import historical data for backtesting?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks,

Jon

Weak bounce, on weak volume. Stopped at the neckline

Ignore the numbering

Thanks for the video Matt. I recently signed up for Ninja (purchase) and transferred my account to IB. Setting up the systems for automated trading.

I have stockcharts real time (15 sec delay). Will I need Stockcharts if I have the Ninja charting service?

They should have notified you

Just an OT rant

They should have notified you before making any changes.

But from a business perspective its not profitable to have LOC's out that they don't collect interest from. They reduce the capital available for new loans and they do not generate revenue for the bank. Its dead money.

That's the rationale (no I'm not a banker) but I can't imagine how they can change your loan without proper notification.

I would love to see

TSX Charts

I would love to see a quick fall to 9700-9750 in the morning as a continuation of today's late day selling. Should confirm the positive divergence which is setting up and finish wave 5.  Stochastics are very oversold on all timeframes.

This would also correspond with support on the daily chart I posted. If this occurs I plan to buy HXU. Of course a stop is in order in case we break support and fall into oblivion.

I had a couple requests for some charts. Sorry for the delay as I am on holidays.

30 min - Feel free to take issue with my numbering. I am still learning and experimenting. Can't say that there is positive divergence until we see how tomorrow opens. Mechanical Systems

Posted by kingpin777 on 30th of Jun 2009 at 01:10 pm

Many posters have noted the lower volatility in the markets. There has also been a lot of discussion about how the summer months should be fairly quiet.

Would the expectation be that the mechanical systems will whipsaw a lot in this type of market.

SRS did 55% in May. I'm not expecting 55%. I believe SRS is around 7% this month. I would happily take 7% per month so I am not complaining. I am just wondering how Matt/other posters are approaching the systems during a time in which the expectation is low volatility?

TSX Weekly - Another thought

Posted by kingpin777 on 27th of Jun 2009 at 10:50 am
Previously I had the weekly wedge drawn differently. We broke out of that wedge. Is this move back up simply a retest of the break.

The weekly channel chart support that view as well.
