I am intrigued by these

Been working on something

I am intrigued by these Gap-up set-ups. On most days, I'd be done with the trades before my 2nd cup of coffee. Screening for trade candidates is my stumbling block, however. I know you use Finviz [I do too], but getting extended-hours data is restricted to "Elite" members. Have you bitten the bullet and become "elite," or are you using some other screening technique to find your gap-up candidates. Your longtime member, Don Sadler

Out-of-pocket Friday afternoon, so I

Posted by dsadler on 27th of Jan 2020 at 09:36 am

Out-of-pocket Friday afternoon, so I missed the exit signal on my SPY Pro puts. Sold at the open today for a 164% gain.

Thanks for the trade alert.

Thanks for the trade alert. Quick & easy entry for me.

I exited @ 28.90, stuck $170 in my pocket, along with the $635 on the 1st contract; I'm not complaining.  Considering our Tweeter-in-Chief, I'll wait to re-enter after his next China tirade.

I picked it up cheap

AU follow up

I picked it up cheap yesterday [9.12] on a retracement from the alarm price [9.25]. I'll attempt to sell half my position near today's high [9.80], & hope for the price to climb to the 50ma to sell the rest.

The 1/.25 Renko bars form

Renko ES

The 1/.25 Renko bars form very quickly. Do you enter with a "market" order as soon as you see a reversal, or slide a stop up/down the matrix using the BPT_Renko_Bar Prices?

And have you discovered a way to avoid the "false" reversal bars such as those "shorts" on your chart occurring shortly before 11:15? Btw - I've been using 2/.5 bars with some success, though entries & false reversals still plague me.

Very cool. Thx.

"- some drama here."

Possible SPY System long entry today

That crazy spike is called a STOP RUN. One of the humongous hedge funds bought all the sell stops between the projected close and some spot below the 200-day avg., then sold them at/near the real close. The fund pocketed a $zillion; the rest of us bupkus.

Waiting on Oprah

WTW

I own this at 13.5 and have a GTC order to double my holdings if it fills the gap to 8. Once Oprah loses 20 lbs. I expect WTW to trade at 25+.
