I don't quite understand Bitcoin's comparison to Gold.
Bitcoin going to 4 Tril. - to converge to the
Gold market cap, relies on limited supply and Massive demand.
The only problem is that there are a large number of cryptos that
are out there and each one is vying to be the digital Gold
standard. So, if there's going to be widespread adoption of
cryptocurrencies then the combined market cap of all cryptos may
converge to Gold. In such a case, Gold's market cap will decline as
well. Interesting to see how the demand for Bitcoin will unfold
going forward.
just wanted to say that FED was also with drunken sailors with
their massive QE even when CPI was well above 4%. Also, wanted to
make the distinction between spending for investment (i.e.
infrastructure/semis manufacturing etc.) versus spending for
consumption (Covid era payments).
Interesting chart. Please explain GEX profile etc. If pinning at
4400 is expected for June opex, do you expect a severe sell-off
going forward with option holders being net long.
Wonder how this loan program adds to liquidity. If banks are
borrowing from the FED to cushion their deposit flight and deposits
(Checking+savings) go to Short-term treasuries, how is it adding to
liquidity? If bank customers invest in the stock market instead of
short-term treasuries then it does add to liquidity. But,
cheking+Savings accounts are meant for payroll and working capital
needs. I wonder if they'd risk it in the stock market.
1) Can you explain Gross loss in the second strategy? (it
appears that your sales prior to opex week in resulting in a
realized loss). Given the gross loss, it appears that it's better
to buy on Monday after opex to increase gross profit (rather than
selling on Friday before opex).
2) Does the strategy work in 2022 (in a down year)?
Your connection between climate change investments and rising
rates leading to bank defaults is tenuous at best. Please look into
how poor the risk management was. Most management was highly
compensated but failed to do their basic job and tried to hide
behind regulatory relief.
Does anyone know the math on Stimulus checks? When
everything was shut down due to CovId, businesses and workers were
given stimulus checks to make up for the lost income. Did anyone
calculate the total income lost and compare it to the total
stimulus checks given? (My guess is that more people got the
stimulus checks even though they did not lose jobs - but
differentiating between people is not only cumbersome but would not
have passed in the congress)
