Back in 2023, Zoom invested in Anthropic. Their stake is rumored
to be worth up to nearly $5B.
Up until the last month or so, nobody has cared. It looks
like that is slowly changing as the stock is up 11% YTD while
almost all other software stocks have been crushed. That is major
relative strength, you’d have to think this has a real chance to
lead if/when sentiment on software turns.
Not long ago, Zoom also announced it has achieved a new state
of the art result on Humanity’s Last Exam, one of the most
difficult AI benchmarks designed to test expert level reasoning
across complex domains. Zoom’s federated AI system scored 48.1%,
surpassing the previous best score of 45.8% set by Google’s Gemini
3 Pro with tool integration and beating other LLMs such as OpenAI
and Anthropic.
Humanity’s Last Exam is considered the gold standard
benchmark because it goes beyond pattern matching and requires
genuine understanding, multi step reasoning, and synthesis across
subjects.
What makes this interesting is that Zoom has gained two forms
of exposure to AI at once. First, operationally through integrating
frontier models into its product suite. Second, financially through
Anthropic.
Could Zoom be making a comeback?
Zoom is highly profitable and has strong financial health
too. The company continues to generate significant net income. They
last reported net income over $612M in Q3 2025 while also boasting
strong operating margins of over 25%.
A few key earnings details:
In November 2025 they reported Q3 revenue of $1.23B and raised
its FY26 guidance to roughly $4.85B.
Elite profitability with non GAAP operating margins reaching up
to 41.3%.
Robust free cash flow with $458M in Q325 and has utilized this
to buy back shares.
Over the last five years, revenue is up almost 90%, EBIT is up
100%, and gross margins are up huge. They even generate $1B in FCF.
The 10, 20, and 50 month moving averages are now all stacked
below price as it approaches a major potential breakout. As long as
this continues to hold $80 or so, I think this heads higher over
the coming months.

Been on this, if it were to pop above the supply zone (b/o of a
cup and handle of sort), it'd be good for the trade, but what would
it mean for the market?

I've been looking into getting a visa for New Zealand (because
why would anyone lob a nuclear bomb there? lol), and they tax
unrealized capital gain at 5% EVERY YEAR, and if you have a loss,
they don't give it back to you.

Miners are still under-priced compared to precious metals.
Some are set to report earnings next week or so and based on
the 4th quarter gold/silver prices the miners will blow the profits
off the charts. So from a fundamental standpoint they should
have relative strength over metals.
