There are warning signs for the equity market for sure.
Although the price trend is still up, things like the
$NYSI 9 ema,
% stocks above 50 ma,
A/D line, etc. show caution, especially the $NYSI vs 9 ema in the
near-term.
Amrise, which hasn't been discussed on this site (I have a
position) and doesn't have a lot of history because it's a
spin-off...but I wanted to highlight that the insider buying has
been nothing but extraordinary. I had Claude look into it and
here's what it says about the insider buying: "Amrize Ltd
(AMRZ) has seen one of the most aggressive insider accumulation
patterns of any large-cap stock in the past year, with
approximately $67 million in open-market purchases across 31
transactions by at least 9 different officers and directors since
its June 2025 spinoff from Holcim — and zero sales. Chairman and
CEO Jan Jenisch has personally led the buying with roughly $63.5
million committed across five separate transactions, including
~$2.35 million purchased as recently as mid-May 2026 at prices
around $49 per share. The cluster spans the entire C-suite: CEO,
CFO, CTO, President of Building Materials, Chief Supply Chain
Officer, Chief People Officer, General Counsel, Chief Strategy
& M&A Officer, and at least one outside director. With
insiders buying through both rallies and declines — and at average
prices between $46 and $58 against a current market price in the
mid-$50s — the pattern reflects deep, sustained conviction in the
company's long-term value rather than opportunistic trading."
Looking at the sectors- today is about Oil and a little of
Semi's; even UFO (Space) is down today. I personally added
NOG (Northern Oil and Gas) to my long term portfolio today.
It's very cheap.
We all need to relax. We're all squirrels trying to get a
nut. We're all trying to do the same thing. I'm not any
type of "guru" of trading. But what I can say is that I've
been trading since 1995 and I've survived. But would I
recommend trading to a someone who is not trading already?
No, LOL. But I'm too deep into it now that I don't know what
else to do.
Let's wait til the end of the week. A lot of the uranium
names were coming to life yesterday, so that factored into my
analysis. OKLO and SMR are also very volatile. But no,
it hasn't been easy, as I hinted at yesterday:
https://breakpointtrades.com/blog/post/480666/ The
pattern was also objective on
OKLO. Now it
broke back into the wedge, could be a fakey. At the end of
the day, unless one has insider information that I don't have, all
we can do as technical traders is to trade off of patterns.
$GVZ - Gold Volatility Index - contrast this w/the oil one;
metals are set up to rally but that haven't which has informational
value in it of itself (worrying); plus the $GVZ has lost its
long-term moving average
crue oil - $OVX, Oil Volatility Index - I'm keeping an eye on
this as it has landed on its 200 ema, 200 dma just below, but it
looks like it can perk up anytime from here.
SOXL is flying close to the sun- this is a weekly chart; it
tagged 4 std deviations from its 36 week ma twice before, then
consolidated, and then made new highs. This time around it
needs to keep pushing and tag $304. 3 pushes to a high, as
the old Wall St saying goes? On the daily chart, the
chandelier stop is at $228.
