Been patiently (bag)holding this for years collecting ~7% dividend w/ a long-term target 50-55 range.  Have to look at monthly chart to see supply zone its so far back. Another indicator of serious $ moving into more conservative plays from tech.

VZ - Verizon on move

VZ on fire after that breakaway gap...finally making move. Beneficiary of $ moving out of tech space. Next supply zone into 50s so this can keep running.

Matt - couple newsletters ago you mentioned expecting a mean reversion trade on spy might be showing up. can you explain what was giving you that indication? Assume that was on long side.

I’m very cautious on market

XLP still quite strong

I’m very cautious on market recently with this ratio and a couple others I watch diverging for a while. Not timing tool but something’s brewing under surface. Surprises also can happen Feb/Mar.

Matt - would you consider VZ a breakaway gap today? It’s been down so long. Up 11% now

Thanks for pointing this TA nuance on demand zones. I like the educational items as trading is constantly learning and adapting.

Quite amazing HYG / high yield credit back up around highs...not a sign of pending doom.

I’ve been long BROS. Charts setup to run to new highs.

Looks like a great time. Will be in Kauai here very soon as well and was thinking it looked like a north shore facing west view.  We are in HI often. Good time zone to trade early and have days off.

Matt - seems like this

NYAD wow still above the bands

Matt - seems like this indicator is more useful when below BB but not necessarily indicative of pullbacks when above. How do you interpret?

Ratios below lower BB would

VVIX/VXIX ratio playing out

Ratios below lower BB would indicate bottoming action and subsequent move higher...market is rarely easy to interpret...

XOM / CVX had facilities there; were nationalized yrs ago; sued for claim. They will have 1st right to recoup losses and highly likely have large influence in recent events and going forward. Those charts, as Matt has shown, look swell. I mentioned in a previous post that Buffett is typically moves ahead in strategy and he has positioned BRK accordingly in this space. Again, volatility comes w/ territory though.

Fyi...their heavy crude is what US refiners are familiar with and want; Russia other country that refines it, which is likely why US securing these reserves. Monthly XLE looks quite bullish...Volatility goes w/ territory but Ive been buying this space. Most related stocks look similar.

Doesn’t seem steep enough to be a true rising wedge. These can break to upside. Wouldn’t get too negative just yet on this pattern alone.

Ive been tracking this formation

$SPX 130m

Ive been tracking this formation also.

Matt - do you view this as a valid wedge or ending diagonal? This seems to stop short of a 7k run though...

As I sold physical silver

Platinum/Gold Ratio

As I sold physical silver last wk (too early maybe) all the dealers I spoke with said smelters are not running full capacity b/c there's too much supply coming in so they were not eager to buy silver at premium. Not sure what to make of that but if anyone has insight your thoughts are appreciated...

Doesn’t happen often but pullbacks tend to follow. Sold ST spy calls after open.

Matt - Is a bear long system being long an indication top is in and this is just a bounce on way to lower lows?
