I do think most countries are doing slowed herd immunity - which can only be done without publicly promoting it too much. And wall street probably understands this better than normal people.

Thanks for the great work Matt. Total agree with your point - it's meaningless to call a bull or bear with certainty. Our universe has randomness and all we are doing is studying past cases to lay out possible paths and probabilities.  

How is the situation in BC? I heard they have the best control of the virus in Canada so should be a good example of reopening the economy going forward.

Also the 1987 bear market had no recession in economy. Those bear markets without recession tend to recover much faster on average, but still, there was a higher low a couple of months after the initial 1987 low.
