Build yourself a barbell strategy to balance out the currencies.
As I am in Asia, I have USD risk assets on one side, Dividend and
very low risk yields on the other side for my local currency. In
the centre keep some cash for emergencies. hope it is the right
thing to do

Next level super model wedges. about 10 days ago went FULL
position in MLPX and XOM. Seems like they are going to rerate to
the next price levels and stay there to adjust for the the higher
dividends payouts and better earnings, I suspect. Please let
us know when they get are getting extended, I suspect can hold for
a few years ?

4. Is MLPX suitable for
overseas (Singapore) investors?
Short answer:
Yes — with
caveats
Why MLPX is
overseas-friendly
? No K-1
? No U.S. tax filing
obligation
? Simple dividend treatment
? Widely accessible via
international brokers
? Lower operational risk than
owning MLPs directly
The trade-offs
(important)
??
Tax drag inside the
ETF
MLPX pays U.S. corporate tax
internally
This slightly reduces:
Net asset value growth
Yield vs direct MLP
ownership
??
U.S. dividend withholding
tax
Distributions are typically
subject to
30% U.S.
withholding
Singapore does
nothave a U.S.
tax treaty to reduce this
However:
Much of MLPX’s payout is often
classified as
return of
capital, which may reduce withholding in practice (varies
by year)

Hi Matt, simple calculation for MLPX is the triangle height
which is about 15 bucks and add it to the 62 level break out. So
about 75 bucks and collect some dividends as we wait.
Seems like a slow and steady mover for the energy play. I like
it.

Hi Matt. on the mega weekend newsletter, chart 30 you posted
about SPX vs the Japanese yen. The divergences that are setting up
indicate a SPX underperformance vs the stronger yen ? how would a
person structure a trade on this ? I guess this is a longer term
trend trade ?

I read this a few times. Thank for breaking it up to show the
vulnerability of these products. Black swans seem to be a certainty
these days. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

Wanted to ask the community about the income portion of your
portfolios ? Trading and systems are good and the guidance we get
from matt and Eric are awesome.
What about the boring part to cover the monthly cashflow needs ?
Would you guys consider High Yield Energy ETFs like WEEI or
MDST(No K-1's) or even MLPI ETF.
Seeing that longer term charts are looking positive for energy /
commodities sector over the coming years. Happy to hears your
thoughts and thank you in advance

Matt, If the broader market like S&P500 takes a breather in
2026 or pulls back . How would you think this will affect names
like PFE Pfizer and the O&G exploration ETF ? These names have
already sold of. Will their price action just be muted ? or
can rotation take place ? I like these Matts macro plays as a
foundation of my portfolio . Your insight appreciated......My worry
is correlation goes to 1 and everything down down together. Thank
you

This is likely a 18month swing trade. Once the quarterly
earnings show positive numbers and recurring revenue shows up. This
guy should re-rate. My guess is 15 dollars as a first target .
