WeRide closed out 2025 with

We Ride

Posted by kingpin15 on 21st of Apr 2026 at 09:54 am

WeRide closed out 2025 with an accelerating surge in hardware sales, driving a record 123% YoY jump in Q4 revenue. The company is actively executing its asset-light international strategy, achieving major milestones like a driverless permit in Abu Dhabi and expansion into Europe. However, the top-line success contradicts a worsening profitability profile: gross margins contracted sharply as the revenue mix shifted away from high-margin R&D services toward lower-margin vehicle sales. Despite a massive revenue beat, net losses remain heavy, signaling that WeRide's path to corporate profitability is still fundamentally tied to long-term software licensing and operational scale rather than immediate product sales.  WeRide's ability to actually sell and deploy units globally is extremely impressive for an early-stage AV company. But the reversing margin trajectory highlights the difficult economics of scaling hardware before software and licensing revenues catch up.

VRT EPS

Posted by kingpin15 on 21st of Apr 2026 at 09:12 am
  • Significant insider selling of over 489,000 shares in the past three months, combined with Vertiv’s decision to stop reporting quarterly orders (disclosing only annual backlog in the 10-K), introduces transparency concerns. This reduced disclosure follows a quarter with 252% year-over-year order growth, raising questions about whether Q1 2026 orders may have normalized. At least one analyst downgraded in late March citing “too lofty expectations.”

  • At 46x forward earnings and a 2.05 beta, Vertiv trades above the consensus analyst target of ~$271 — meaning the stock has overshot near-term Wall Street expectations. The PEG ratio of 1.77, while not extreme, offers limited margin of safety if EPS growth decelerates from the guided 42–45% rate. Tariff headwinds previously compressed adjusted operating margins by 110 bps and remain a variable cost risk for 2026.
