I have a question on the KISS system for one of the stocks I bought (MTD) from the initial alert as of 1/23.  The STS on it was at $1,150.  I just saw an email alert come through today with a new STS for MTD at $1,113.  Is it possible that the STS dropped from $1,150 down to $1,113?  I thought they stops only got ratcheted up over time during a trend up.  Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Does it seem like there

Was a good trip for Steve and I

Does it seem like there is hope A2Z stock can claw its way out the pit its in?  I have held some to about -85% but maybe it would be good to average cost down vs. dumping?

I haven't seen any comments

I haven't seen any comments about ADN for a long time. Does anyone have any opinions on whether they a lost cause at this point, or do they have some hope of coming back in some fashion?

I swear I haven't been

I swear I haven't been into the eggnog yet but I had bought TXT on Nov 16th and have a stop in at $74.40.  When I do a trade from the KISS daily spreadsheet I mark them as a favorite to get the updated STS's when they happen.  Now I can't seem to find TXT anywhere in the spreadsheet, I clearly didn't mark it as a favorite.  Does anyone else have that one as a trade or know where it is in the spreadsheet (if it is actually there).  Maybe I just screwed up.  Thanks!!

Am I missing something, the spreadsheet has different current STS values than what you are mentioning in the comment.  Thanks for the clarification!

Is the GDX STS stop

Posted by blayden on 6th of Nov 2023 at 03:23 pm

Is the GDX STS stop still at $27.40, or did I see a comment that it was now at $28.30?  The spreadsheet still has $27.40.

Not sure how bad it

Posted by blayden on 23rd of Mar 2023 at 09:34 am

Not sure how bad it gets but definitely some cracks starting to show.  The world has been on the drug of artificially low interest rates for a decade or more which has distorted any semblence of a normally functioning market, and things will need to eventually correct back to normal function IN SPITE of all the government manipulation.

On the new SPY RSI

SPY RSI 40 long

Posted by blayden on 30th of Dec 2022 at 12:02 pm

On the new SPY RSI 40 position, I want to keep doing options, so given the basic instructions to do a call a couple months out at ~64% delta, I took the SPY Mar 17 370 call.  This was an entry as of this morning when S&P was down about 25 points today, not at the close last night.   For any of you that have good options experience, does that look like a good entry or would you have taken something different?   Also, do the same parameters (couple months out) &  delta's apply to on the short side?   Thanks in advance for any input!

sim2009, if you are asking if short trade closed, read Matt's post at 4:08pm.

I assume this is for call option trades, do you happen to know the deltas for short option trades?  I didn't remember that options would no longer be given for for SPY trade options. Thanks!

Can you tell us what

SPY and ES systems trade

Posted by blayden on 2nd of Dec 2022 at 04:45 pm

Can you tell us what system it is?  Thanks!

I bought MMMM a while ago as a fundamental buy/hold play and am way down.  It looks like they are struggling with getting financial reports out but they turned a profit the last time they reported and if there business model is still sound (like it appears to be), they may still be good longer term.  I am adding a '2nd entry' at these levels to get my average cost down quite a lot for what its worth.

Is there any hope for

Posted by blayden on 23rd of Nov 2022 at 01:55 pm

Is there any hope for MMMM?  They have their first profitable quarter but stock price just keeps sinking.  Is anyone adding to position at these levels?

Since the High/Mid/Low is 98% profitable, and the Strap is 100% profitable, wouldn't it make sense to hold any short positions I currently have since they are both still open, even if some of the less profitable SPY trades are closing out?   .....or is that logic flawed somehow?

I've been looking at PAA.  They are in oil and gas business (transportation/etc) and have a 7+% dividend yield.

if we didn't get in

ES bear long may take a 2nd entry today

Posted by blayden on 18th of Aug 2022 at 02:15 pm

if we didn't get in on the first entry for the Bear Long would you bite on the 2nd entry, or let it go?

I worked for solar install company as controller for a few years.  Payback was/is typically 12-15 years on a grid tied system and we are in a very sunny area, but depends a lot on what utility does, which varies widely (some buy back at retail, some at wholesale, etc).   Payback is likely getting longer now as labor and materials have gone up so much in the last couple years.  Battery backup is cool but absolutely not cost effective.  5kw battery backup is in the $18-20k range. It would only run critical loads for a period of time, so you have to REALLY want to not have any reliance on other energy, and have lots of disposable income to go that route.  I can go to Costco and buy a 7.5kw generator that runs on gas/propane/NG for around $800!  I am also definitely not ready for full EV vehicle.  Again, you have to be wealthy enough to have an 'extra' vehicle just for commuting more 'locally' (and don't get me started on the EV truck thing....if you use a truck for what a truck actually is for (pulling trailers/loads, its a joke unless you want to stop every 100 miles for 3 hrs).   I'm definitely not planning my trip across states or the country around where my stops for charging are going to be, and then sit there for a few hours.....  My opinion for average person is hybrid or plug-in/hybrid makes way more sense still.  Maybe in 10 years charging stations will be faster and more prevelant, and EV vehicle cost will drop...... or maybe the electric grid will be failing even worse since the infrastructure can't support all the charging needs (unless we stop demonize fossil fuels and go to more nuclear generation which makes a LOT of sense).  California's stated goals for electrification are waayyyyy out in left field, the grid can't manage today let alone the extra loads they want to put on the grid in the near future.  Just my random thoughts/observations.

I think we only have

SPY and ES Systems Update

Posted by blayden on 4th of Aug 2022 at 04:10 pm

I think we only have about 5 mins left for options trades, do we know if the short triggered?  Thanks!

There is only a long

SPY systems

Posted by blayden on 31st of Mar 2022 at 03:55 pm

There is only a long trade for SPY open at the moment (1st Entry Breakout).

The DVDS still shows as an open short trade on the Systems-Trades page so I assume it is valid.  If not the web page needs to be fixed.
